The superb Dock 9 is widely recognised as being one of the best swimming venues in the UK. Its been used for the Commonwealth Games, International Salford Triathlons, Greater Manchester & MediaCityUK Swim events.
Its water is treated with a harmless dye to ensure a pristine environment and is noted for its excellent quality.
In Summer we offer 250m, 500m, 750m & 1km swim courses which feature the iconic Lowry Theatre as a backdrop.

Our picturesque venue is one of the loveliest places to swim in the Northwest. Well suited to novice swimmers and families who welcome its warmth, shallow depth and chilled, rural vibe. Thousands of swimfolk have swum here since the late 1990's and it continues to grow from strength to strength.
