500m swimmers:
Note that this a 'participation' swim created to provide a challenge to 'newbies' and inexperienced swimmers. As a result there will be no chip timing or trophies. Medals will still be provided as memory for the day.
Car Parking:
Available in Quayside next to the swim venue. It can be pre-paid through Your Parking Space (Location ID: 12200). Rates as follows:
0-2 hours £2.30, 2-4 hours £4.50, 4-6 hours £8.00, 6-12 hours £16.00

There will be live updates and race results by TimeMyRace throughout the swim.
Water Temperature:
Expected to be 14-14.5C so consider your ability to swim in this temperature for the length of time you expect to swim. Wear a wetsuit if you are not fully acclimatised and always err on the side of caution. You will have a few minutes in the water to settle your breathing pre-swim before race start.
Tips:
Acclimatise by swimming in the open water at Uswim prior to the event.
Enjoy an energy laden breakfast.
If you carry an inhaler label it with your name and leave at registration if you are not already carrying it on your swim.
