EnduroSwimUK is the new name for the long-established 'Swim The English Channel Up North' & the 'Cheshire 12 Hour Challenge' events.


EnduroSwimUK offers swimmers the challenge of safely swimming overnight with options of a continuous 36km, 4, 6, 8, or 10 hour training swims OR one mile or half a mile swims every hour for 12 hours. Something for every hard-nosed endurance swimmer!


Distances: 1 Mile each hour (12 hours); Half Mile each hour (12 hours); 36km (Continuous); 10 Hour Challenge; 8 Hour Challenge; 6 Hour Challenge


Ages: Soloists / Relay Teams (15+yrs)


Cost: Solo / Pair 1 Mile each hour - £280
Solo / Pair Half Mile each hour - £280
36km (English Channel) Solo - £325
36km (English Channel) Relay team up to 6 people - £480
10 Hour solo Challenge - £250

Timings: Parking / Registration / camping chair set-up: From 6:30pm. Swim Start (all): 8.00pm


'Swimmers Rest' Area: Tents / camper vans are not required for participants due to the almost continuous nature of the 12 Hour Challenge. There will, however, be a tented, sheltered area provided where swimmers can place a comfortable camping chair to use as a resting place for the duration of the event

No Land Support Required: Swimmers must come on their own and are not permitted any support. There will be plenty of people at the event to offer assistance as required.


Parking: Free at the venue and will be located on the Lake access road. 


Facilities: Covered gazebo area (four x 6x3m water proof gazebos, changing cabin. Rinse showers.  Heated water urn to supply your own refreshments


Event Info: Event water safety is provided for the duration of the event so there's no need to source your own.  


An illuminated tow-float is required to be attached to swimmers at all times - day and night.


You need to bring:

  • Swim caps / Swim gear / towels / lots of warm clothing layers
  • Illuminated tow-float
  • Camping chair (as comfortable as possible) *NO TENTS / MOTORHOMES permitted*
