Coach Profile

Dave Quartermain

As Founder and Coach of Uswim since the late '90's Dave has a passion for open water swimming that has taken him to places such as South Africa, New York (Manhattan, first Brit winner) and also attempt the English Channel. As one of the UK's fastest open water swimmers in the late '90's he set up Uswim to provide swimmers with supervised, high-quality venues and events in the North-west (UK).

Since then Uswim has welcomed over 250,000 people - and counting - into the open water.

Learning to swim in the canal outside his home in Marple,  Cheshire seems a lifetime ago!
