Colwyn Bay Oceanswim - Open Water Swim Events

A superb sea swim that welcomes swimmers of all abilities over distances from 2-5km including a challenging 10km option. Be bold!

DISTANCES:

5km / 3km / 2 km* OR 'Triple Whammy 10km'

*Open to competent 12-15 years

Swim 'Cut-off times'

If 'triple-whammy 10km' swimmers are unable to make the (generous) start times for the 3km/2km, i.e. 2.5hours for 5km & 1.5 hours for 3km then they will be officially withdrawn from the race and results marked as a DNF (did not finish).There will be a 1 hour cut off time for the 2km with swimmers then asked to leave the water.

Triple Whammy 10km (all distances combined): £60.00

5km: £50.00

3km: £40.00

2km: £30.00

*COVID-19: If this event cannot take part due to the crazy times we live in (i.e National guidelines) we will fully refund you. If you cancel then no refund/transfer will be offered.

Registration Opens (Uswim tent on beach): 9.45-2.00pm

Swim Start times (running from beach into water)

5km - 10.30am

3km – 1.00pm

2km - 2.30pm

SWIM COURSES (tbc, weather dependent):

5km: Potentially five laps of a 1km course

3km: Three laps

2km: Two laps

Join us for a tasty open water sea swim at Colwyn Bay hosted by the Watersports Centre. With its excellent facilities 'Colwyn Bay Oceanswim' offers top quality open water sea swimming with distances to suit all abilities.

Take part in either the 5km, 3km or 2km distance swims or really challenge themself in the 'Triple Whammy 10km' by completing all three distances one after the other. Awesome.

Trophies will be awarded to the top female/male swimmers in all distances with medals and quality goody bags provided to all.

Facilities

Due to covid-19 restrictions there will be no changing tents or showers available. There will, however, be a small marked 'bag store' area to store shoes/keys at the 'socially distanced' swim assembly area on the beach.
